Saigon (again)
We flew back to Saigon on an early flight and a taxi from Madame Cuc's Hotel 127 brought us back to that hotel. We spent our last day at the Ben Thanh Market and people watched from a sidewalk seat in the center of the western tourist area. We watched backpackers walk back and forth trying to find accommodations, fended off street hawkers with "không; cải ơn" (well, really "no; thank you" seemed to work better most times than our pronunciation of the same in Vietnamese), and drank Tiger bia. We ate dinner at the same restaurant we had on our first night in Vietnam and were surprised how tame it now seemed in comparison to how we felt about it less than 3 weeks ago. Afterwards, we walked the streets until we found sidewalk seats near a busy intersection to watch people and traffic, and enjoy our last Vietnamese bia.
